"Low Rider" was abandoned in front of our Westcoast Veterinary
location.  We estimate that she is about
3-4 years of age.  "Low Rider" is a Munchkin
or dwarf cat. We don't know if she was bred
that way on  purpose or not.  She has a
permanent scar on one of her eyes that does
not seem to bother her at all.  "Low Rider is a
very sweet and independent kitty who would
                 be a loving addition to
                 someone's home. She
                  is current on vaccines,
                  Felv/FIV negative and
                  spayed.

"Callie"
was found hanging around a
7-11 with bite wounds to her back .
We estimate her to be about 1 year

old.  "Callie" is very inquisitive  and friendly, but not crazy about dogs.
She is also spayed, up to date with vaccines,
                    and FELV/FIV negative.

Both girls are looking for forever indoor homes,
and can be found lounging at Westcoast
Veterinary Hospital in the Greentree Center
                 at Airport and Immokalee Roads.

Adopted!!!
6/3 Just yesterday,  the chiropracter  two doors
down from our Westcoast location went to retrieve
the mail  and noticed a small grimy kitten
underneath  the boxes.  She brought him down to
our office  where it was obvious that he was not
feeling well.  He seemed very warm to the touch
and our thermometer was still climbing above
106.2 when we began to try to cool him down.
Successful at reducing his temperature, we
monitored him all night.  Because of all his grime
and his elevated temperature, we think that he
might have escaped from under the hood of a car
or some enclosed space.  We are happy to report
that he is doing much better this AM - even the
limp and swelling on his front paw is getting
better.  Once we give him a clean bill of health he
will also be up for adoption - Watch for pictures.
6/11/08 "106" as we call him is FELV/FIV
negative and has finished his parasite
treatment.  He has had his first vaccines and
is a feisty guy.  We estimate him to be about
6 weeks old - He is ready for adoption!!
Come see him at Westcoast.
6/14/2008  One of our clients found Baxter running
around Golden Gate City and brought him to our
hospital to check for a microchip.  Our scanner
detected a chip and we located the phone number of
the person he was registered to.  The next day that
person called back to say that she had given him to
someone else; that someone else had given him to
someone else ....and so on and so on.  It soon
became evident that Baxter had been passed
through many hands.
Baxter is a young neutered male , probably between
2-4 years of age.  He is a sweet boy and all Boxer -
boisterous and full of energy , appreciating any
affection.  At some point in his life, it looks like he
was neglected and a chain had grown into the tissue
of his neck. This has healed but he will probably
always  have a little scar there.  He is heartworm
negative and has been updated on his vaccines.  He
is looking for a forever home with someone who
appreciates his enthusiasm for life.  Baxter can be
seen at our Naples Safari location.
