Pet Massage Therapy at Naples Safari
Pet Massage involves more than comforting touch. It requires a thorough
understanding of anatomy to provide maximum benefit and prevent harm.
Qualifications are important if you want the best for your pet.

The course was developed  by Jean-Pierre Hourdebaigt, LMT,  who is  
registered and licensed in human massage .  Mr. Hourdebaigt  graduated at
the top of his class in 1983 from the Canadian Academy of Massage and
Hydrotherapy  and has, in addition to helping human patients,   worked
extensively developing techniques for equine and canine patients, authoring
the book ,
Canine Massage, A Practical Guide , used as a reference in
massage classes around he world.  The school is a member school of the
IAAMB - The International Association of Animal Massage and
Bodywork.  National Standards for Animal Acupressure and Massage
Certification guidelines are currently being developed by NBCAAM
(National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure) Certification
Tests for Horses are already available and the Small Animal Certification
test is in the process of being written..  Sitting for the test requires
successful completion of a recognized course in Animal Massage including
200 hrs of course study or equivalent.  Mr. Hourdebaigt's  course is a
qualified prerequisite.  
 Mrs. Faircloth  has passed both the practical and
written assessments by Mr. Hourdebaigt with  flying colors.

B.J. grew up with all sorts of animals and has always had a natural gift with
them.  She resides in rural Collier County with her husband and children
and extended family of dogs, cats, & horses. In addition to working at
Westcoast Veterinary and Naples Safari Animal Hospital & Pet Resort,
Mrs. Faircloth has worked with animals in conjunction with
Collier County Domestic Animal Services, The State of Florida, and
local 4H Programs. Many clients are already aware of BJ's special insight
into the behavior of dogs & cats and can appreciate this addition to her
expertise.
We are now very pleased to be able to offer  both  our veterinary and
boarding clients professional therapeutic, behavioral and  relaxation
massage options.
